About OOPRC and EBLI
Ounce of Prevention Reading Center was founded by Nora Chahbazi in 1999. It was born out of her quest to find a method to teach her daughter Colleen, who struggled with reading. Nora went on to create EBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction), an effective and efficient system of reading instruction. In addition to working with individuals in their Flushing, MI office, the OOPRC staff also puts on EBLI trainings and is willing to travel. Nora is very passionate about her work and knows that it will not be done until illiteracy is a thing of the past.
With this blog we intend to highlight people who are doing great things with EBLI, discuss EBLI updates and events, and provide a space for EBLI fans to connect. We appreciate your comments; please feel free to contact OOPRC if you would like to speak to someone. For more information, visit the EBLI website: www.ebli.org.
